Creating a group
Pick from 10 group types (Just Friends, Neighborhood, Sports Team, and more), then add a name (up to 100 characters), a description (up to 2000), banner and profile images, and an optional website and location.
Public, private, and hidden
- Public: anyone can find and join the group instantly.
- Private: people request to join and the owner approves them.
- Hidden (private groups only): the group won't appear in search results at all.
How groups run
Every group has one owner, who can edit the group, invite members, approve or reject join requests, remove members, transfer ownership, and delete the group.
Members post Feelers, Moods, and PinDrops to the group's feed, and any group you're in can be chosen as a post's audience. Group invitations can be accepted or declined from the Groups screen.
Leaving and deleting
Members can leave anytime; the owner has to transfer ownership to someone else before leaving. Posts you made stay in the group's feed after you leave. If the owner deletes the group, the group and its posts are removed.
