Create your account
Actually Hangout uses your phone number to sign up. No email, password, or social login needed.
Signing up takes a couple of minutes and everything happens with your phone number. There are no passwords to remember and no email or social logins. Your number is your account.
How signup works
- Confirm you're 18 or older and accept the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. Actually Hangout is for adults only.
- Enter your birthday. The 18+ requirement is enforced here.
- Add your first and last name.
- Pick a username: 3-20 characters, lowercase letters and numbers only, and it must start with a letter.
- Enter your phone number and confirm it with the SMS code we text you.
After you sign up
A short onboarding walks you through app permissions, a quick intro, making your first plan, and inviting your crew. Every permission is optional. You can skip any of them and the app still works.
One thing to know: your phone number is verified during signup and can't be changed in the app afterwards. If you ever need to change it, email support@actuallyhangout.com.
