Drop a PinDrop
A PinDrop says "I'm here now". Share your spot so friends can pull up.
At a coffee shop, a park, a show? Drop a PinDrop to let friends know where you are right now. Use your current location, or long-press anywhere on the map to place a pin manually. No location permission is required for manual pins.
What you can add
- An optional caption and one photo.
- Up to 8 companions: tag the friends who are there with you.
- A "Here Until" time so friends know how long you'll be around.
- An audience: all friends, specific Friend Tags, or a Group. PinDrops don't reach Friends of Friends.
Protecting your exact location
If you'd rather not share your precise spot, turn on "Mask your exact location when dropping pins" in Settings → Security. Friends will see an approximate area instead of the exact point.
After you post
You can edit the caption, audience, Here Until time, location, masking, and photo, or delete the PinDrop. PinDrops stay on your profile; they don't disappear automatically.
